We are partnering with Paddle North to bring you an opportunity to SUP (stand-up paddle board) with your pup! This one-hour demo by our friends at Paddle North will include tips and a brief lesson for getting your pup comfortable on the paddle board.
It will be free to join but we have a limited number of spots available (15 per session), so you MUST register via Eventbrite. While the event is free, we encourage donations to Pause 4 Paws. If you donate $5 or more, you will receive a Dogs of MSP pint glass. We wil collect cash donations at the event.
We will have human life jackets you may use, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like. We will NOT have doggie life jackets, so please be sure to bring one if you have one for your dog. (Note: We may have a few extra you can borrow, but no guarantees.)
Weight restrictions may vary by board, so please be aware that we'll try and accommodate accordingly at the event. There will be some smaller boards, a 200lb board, a 250 lb board, a 350lb board, and a couple giant boards that hold multiple people/dogs, one at 2,000 pounds.
If you have your own paddle board, and want to come out, we welcome you to join us for the fun! There will be a drone taking aerial photos, and Studio Twelve:52 will be taking some pics!
FUN Fact: Falen KDWB will be joining us with some of her friends for an early session, so you may see her and her pup if you arrive sometime in the 4:30-5:30 range. Also, if you just want to hang out and watch the festivities, we'd love to have you!
